Programme Overview
Students who gain the National Diploma are equipped to further their study in computing and related fields, armed with the knowledge required to completely plan and install a computer network, and with the skills required to build the equipment needed in such a project.
Students will work from basic hardware and software through to installing devices and
cabling and finish with network server operating systems. This course will also
incorporate modules on communication where these skills could be customer service
related aspects in IT, and teach students to:
- Identify the components required and assemble a personal computer from parts.
- Install and troubleshoot computer operating system (Windows XP Professional and Vista).
- Install and configure new hardware into a computer.
- Identify common faults and repair them.
- Add, remove and install computer peripherals
- Identify components needed to build a computer network.
- Install and customize software on a server.
- Identify the purposes, features and functions of various network components
- Build a network.
- Install and configure Network Protocols.
Entry Criteria
- Students must be at least 18 years old and have completed their secopndary school studies.
- Some prior computer knowledge / experience is an advantage, though those with no prior experience may be admitted as ITTI provides additional support and Professional Development classes to provide the best possible outcome to your educational experience.

36 weeks 9am - 2 pm (Mon - Fri)
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Computing Level 5
- IT Training Diploma in Computing & Network support Level 5
- CompTIA A+ Core hardware and operating systems
- CompTIA Network +
- Microsoft Certified Professional (Exam 70-270)
The costs of these external Certification Examinations are not included in the course fees.
