Overview of the Course
I.T. is Switched ON
Technology is progressing at breakneck speed, and the demand for qualified IT personnel just cannot seem to be met. Employers are looking not only for graduates with the recognised international Microsoft, CompTIA or Cisco qualifications, but also with work experience; they’re wanting ‘work-ready’ manpower.
National and International Qualifications
In just 9 months, our comprehensive National Diploma in Computing programme delivers the meaningful, recognised qualifications that employers are seeking.
As one of New Zealand’s few accredited Microsoft IT Academies, and partnerships with CompTIA, CISCO, and Prometric, we prepare students for these internationally recognised qualifications:
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Server+
- Microsoft Certificate in Systems Administration
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
- Cisco Certificate Network Administration (CCNA)
Work Experience
Partnerships with local industry, IT companies, and the corporate sector provide opportunity for our students to get hands on work experience in the workplace.
ITTI is also establishing an on-site Service facility, providing even greater opportunity to become very familiar with the diverse range of problems that confront users of computers and networks.
Professional Development
One of the most frequent complaints from employers is the lack of ‘work-readiness’ amongst new graduates. ITTI integrates FREE professional development classes into our programme, so that students have the range of skills required, and to provide awareness of the expectations of their future employers.
Student Amenities
ITTI has decently refurbished the student amenities, providing air-conditioned classrooms, and a student cafeteria where classes can relax with a coffee from the coffee machine, or heat their own food in the microwave. Because ITTI is a small school, students are able to enjoy amenities not normally available to students in larger academies.
The classrooms have been designed to permit no more than 10 students in each class. This ensures a high level of tutor/student interaction.
The Academic Staff
The Academic team has been recruited on three critical factors:
- Knowledge and experience in IT
- A particular strength in sharing their knowledge and passion for their chosen specialty area
- A commitment and dedication to coaching and mentoring their students to achievement.
The academic team participates in a rigorous professional development programme – and frequently fascinate and stimulate their students with the new knowledge as it comes to hand. As a certified Microsoft IT Academy, both ITTI staff and students gain exclusive access to new product and technologies.
High Pass Rates
The small class sizes, and tutor commitment have been the drivers to some excellent pass rates over the years. We have graduates in senior level roles, managing international computer networks, or in dream jobs where they work hard, but can play well afterwards.
Relaxed Learning Environment
As a student at ITTI, each of our staff will know you by name. You will be a part of a small academy in a relaxed but productive learning environment.
We invite you to explore the possibility of starting your future with us.
