ITTI Courses and Programmes
The Information Technology Training Institute provides courses for students seeking a career in the dynamic IT industry. Each of our courses and programmes lead to international examinations recognised as the achievement benchmarks within the industry. All courses and units offered by ITTI are accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), and are recognised nationally and also internationally by many countries.
Fees and Course Related Costs
A registration fee of $250.00, paid at enrolment is essential to guarantee a position on a course. Students are required to make full payment for fees prior to commencement of the course, which is stated on the “Offer of Place”. Students will receive their official receipt in time to apply for their student visa. Please make payment to IT Training Limited . Payment can be made in the following ways:
- Telegraphic Transfer by your bank to IT Training’s bank account. (Please refer to the details stated in your Offer of Place.)
- Or bank cheque/bank draft in New Zealand dollars, made out to “IT Training Limited” and posted/delivered directly to ITTI.
- Or Cash (We do not recommend you carry large amounts of cash for safety reasons)
Please note:
- Any additional bank charges per telegraphic transfer are to be met by sponsor/student.
- ITTI will provide a statement with a breakdown of your course related costs after the course has commenced.

Course-related Costs
Course-related costs include:
External examination fees: — These external CompTIA, Microsoft and Cisco examination fees are costs beyond our control, and may be subject to some variation due to exchange rates and changes in provider fees. Fees quoted are correct at time of printing.
Textbooks: — Textbooks are included in the course fees, but there may be occasions when a student seeks additional resources. ITTI provides a small technology library that can be utilised by students for a small deposit of $20.
Student Fees Protection
Information Technology Training Institute operates a Student Fees Protection Trust Account with the Public Trust in compliance with Section 236A of the Education Act 1989, and Education Amendment Act No.4 1991.
This guarantees your funds should the Institute in the unlikely event be unable to complete the delivery of your course. All fees paid to ITTI by the student are placed into a trust account in the Student's name, and paid to ITTI on a progressive basis.
Students will receive a copy of their "Application to Establish a Student Fee Trust Account", which includes a "Payment Schedule" showing how their fees will be paid out to ITTI over the length of the course they are enrolled in.
Students can view further information or access refunds of fees by contacting The Public Trust by calling 0800 494 733 or visiting www.feeprotect.co.nz.
Withdrawal and Refund Policies
Fees Refunds Prior to Course Commencement
If a student pays a deposit and withdraws prior to course commencement and up to the 8th day of the course, a refund will be due less $500 or 10% of the total tuition fees, whichever is the lesser.
If no payment has been made prior to course commencement and a student withdraws within 2 weeks of course commencement, the student will be invoiced for $500 or 10% of the total tuition fee, whichever is lesser.
Fees Refunds After Course Commencement
Any refund will be made in accordance with the Refunds Policy. Any request for a refund must be made in writing to The Managing Director, ITTI, within one week of withdrawal from course, and must include any documents supporting your refund request.
If a student withdraws within the first eight days after course commencement, fees will be refunded in full, less $500 or 10% of the tuition fees, whichever is the lesser. Notice of withdrawal must be recorded in writing to the Student Welfare Manager.
There will be no refund of fees if a withdrawal from course is made after the eighth day of course commencement.
Acceptance of your notice of withdrawal will be in writing and dated to the day of your withdrawal from the course. Any due refunds will be available within seven days of notice of withdrawal.
The Refund Policy applies whether withdrawal has been initiated by the student, or by the ITTI, in cases where the student has failed to fulfil contractual obligations identified in the Terms and Conditions of Study.
Important Note
Payment of tuition fees indicates acceptance of a place on a programme at ITTI . By accepting the place, a student enters into a contract with ITTI for the period of one academic year (or the length of the programme if it is less than one year). This contract means there is an obligation to pay the fees for the year (or for the length of the shorter programme).
Reasons for Refunds
- New Zealand Immigration Services has refused to grant an initial visa for study in New Zealand or Visa extension is refused by NZIS. (a copy of Official documentation from NZIS must be supplied)
- ITTI is unable to proceed with the course offered
Other Refunds
- Special circumstances of a compassionate nature, as approved by ITTI, may necessitate withdrawal from a course. Supporting information must be supplied in writing.
Bad Debts
Where money is due to Information Technology Training Institute and not paid as due, or arrangements made and adhered to, ITTI reserves the right to refer debts to a Debt Collection Agency. If this occurs all cost associated with debt collection will be added to the debt owed to Information Technology Training Institute.
